Shortlisted scripts announced: Script Call for LGBTQIA+ short scripts – Qalbi Productions

We are thrilled to announce the shortlisted projects for the script call we organised for Qalbi Productions, who were looking for short scripts of up to 10 pages exploring LGBTQIA+ themes.

Finalists:

  • JUST SAMANTHA, by Hadyn Worley
  • LUCY IN THE MIRROR, by Sarah Owen
  • PERMISSION, by Oliver Giggins
  • THE BONES ARE GOOD, by Gabe Converse
  • VIGIL, by Gethin Dibowski

These screenplays have been forwarded to Qalbi Productions. The writers will either be invited for a meeting to discuss the possibility of getting the script into financing & production or will receive brief written feedback explaining why they decided to pass on the project.

We would also like to publish a list of runner-up projects: these are strong screenplays we particularly appreciated, even though they did not reach the top five.

  • FOREVER AND ALWAYS, by Rebecca VanderKooi
  • PASSING TRAINS, by Charles Hall
  • PRIDE?, by Megan Walton
